Have you ever had a dream so vivid, so compelling that you couldn’t ignore it? It’s that inner calling, a vision planted deep in your heart, urging you to pursue something extraordinary. Yet, as you begin your journey, doubts creep in, and you wonder if your dream is too audacious or unattainable.

I’ve been there, too, wrestling with doubt as we boldly pursue the dreams in our hearts. In those moments, we must remember that faith and action are essential companions on our journey.

1. Circle the Dream in Prayer: The first step in defying doubt is to circle your dream in prayer. Take a moment to write down your dream, making it as clear and specific as possible. Then, press into prayer with passion. Pour your heart out to God, sharing your dreams and desires. Trust that God is the ultimate Dream Giver, and He’s inviting you into a partnership to fulfill the dreams He’s placed in your heart.

2. Keep Believing Despite What You See: It’s the unwavering confidence in the promises of God, even when circumstances seem bleak. When doubt threatens your dreams, choose to keep believing in what God has placed in your heart, despite what your physical eyes see. Your faith becomes the driving force that propels you forward.

3. Stay in Action: One significant difference between dream makers and daydreamers is action. Dreams are beautiful, but they remain mere fantasies without action. Take concrete steps towards your dream. Even small, consistent actions move you closer to your goals. As you act in faith, God opens doors, provides opportunities, and paves the way for your dreams to become a reality.

4. Surround Yourself with Like-Hearted People: No one is self-made. God often uses people to support and encourage us on our journey. Surround yourself with individuals who share your passion and vision. Seek out mentors and friends who can walk alongside you, providing guidance and support. Remember that God may use just one person to help you reach your destination. 

5. Never Give Up: The pursuit of a dream can be challenging, with an uncertain timeline and unforeseeable outcomes. But hold on to hope and perseverance. Trust that God’s plans for you are good. Keep hoping, keep asking, and keep believing. God is faithful and never disappoints those who put their trust in Him.

As you circle your dreams in prayer, keep the faith alive in your heart. Act, seek supportive relationships, and never give up. Your faith in action is the key to defying doubt and turning your dreams into a magnificent reality. Have confidence in what you hope for, and assurance in what you cannot yet see.
