John 15:9-11 (NIV)

“As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Now remain in My love. If you keep My commands, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commands and remain in His love. I have told you this so that My joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.”

Doubts and uncertainties often cloud our perception of God’s promises, leading us to question His goodness or His plan for our lives. Yet, in John 15:9-11, Jesus assures us of His unwavering love and invites us to abide in Him—to remain steadfast in our faith and obedience, regardless of our circumstances.

Jesus’s words in this passage reveal the key to experiencing overflowing joy: remaining in His love. This isn’t merely about intellectual assent or emotional highs but about a deep, abiding relationship with Christ. When we prioritize intimacy with Him through prayer, worship, Bible study, and ultimately obedience to His commands, we open ourselves to receive His joy in full measure.
