Psalm 139:13 (NIV)

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

Have you ever questioned your worth, struggled with feelings of inadequacy or doubted your place in this world? I certainly have, and I believe many of us have stood at that crossroads of self-doubt, wondering if we truly matter. In these moments, let Psalm 139:13 be a balm for your soul, a reminder of your immeasurable worth in the eyes of the Creator.

This verse beautifully illustrates how intimately God knows us, how intricately He designed us. It tells of a Creator who lovingly fashioned every aspect of our being, starting with our inmost being, the very core of who we are. He knit us together, stitch by stitch, in the safety of our mother’s womb.

In a world that often measures our value by external standards—our appearance, our accomplishments, our possessions—it’s easy to feel inadequate. But here’s the truth: your worth is not determined by the fleeting judgments of this world. Your worth is intrinsic, established by the very hands of God who crafted you with purpose and love.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made. God took great care in forming you, every detail thoughtfully considered. You are unique, irreplaceable, and priceless. Your worth is not contingent on your circumstances or the opinions of others. It’s a divine gift, bestowed upon you since the moment of your creation.

Today, I encourage you to reflect on your own journey of self-worth. Are there times when you’ve allowed the world’s standards to diminish your sense of value?
