Ephesians 1:4-5 (NIV)

For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will.

In a world that often defines us by our achievements, appearances, and the approval of others, it’s easy to carry the wounds of rejection and insecurity. We long to be accepted, to fit into society’s molds, and to find our worth in external validation. Yet, Ephesians 1:4-5 reminds us of a remarkable truth:

We are chosen and fully accepted in Christ.

Long before the world began, God made His choice. He picked us to be His beloved daughters and sons, to live lives marked by holiness and blamelessness. Our identity is securely rooted in His love, not subject to the ever-shifting opinions of others.

The search for acceptance can lead us down the wrong paths—into unsatisfying careers, unhealthy relationships, and the grip of crippling self-doubt. But God’s Word calls us to seek His approval above all. When we anchor our identity in Him, we break free from the chains of worldly validation.

Consider the freedom that comes with knowing you are chosen by the Creator of the universe. Your worth is not measured by the judgments of others but by the One who crafted you with love and purpose. In God’s eyes, you are embraced and fully accepted.

Imagine the liberating truth that says, “You are chosen.” It invites us to release the expectations of the world and revel in the acceptance and love of our Heavenly Father.
