“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Rest. Rejuvenation. Renewal.
These words are like water to my soul when it’s been dried out by striving and chasing after all the things. Jesus promises me rest when I’m weary. Before, my pursuit of ambitions was entangled with a longing for worth to myself and approval from others. It felt like a constant hustle for recognition.
But this promise from Jesus brought a profound revelation: I could find rest in Him and let go of the pressure to prove my worth through achievements. Today, take a moment to reflect on where you need permission to enjoy your journey and find rest in Jesus.
The promise of rest in Jesus transformed my approach to chasing dreams. No longer was it about seeking external validation or worth through achievements. It became an outpouring of the wholeness I found in Christ. This shift allowed me to focus on what truly matters, cherishing the people who brought me joy.
As you read these words, I encourage you to take a pause. Take a deep breath. Feel your whole body relax. And then reflect on your own journey.
Where do you need permission to enjoy the path you’re on?
Are there areas where your focus could be sharpened?
Who are the ones that bring you the greatest joy, and whose lives do you touch in a meaningful way?
