Ephesians 3:20 (NIV)

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.

In our lives, we often set expectations, envision our futures, and strive to fulfill our dreams. We plan meticulously, work tirelessly, and yet, there are moments when life takes unexpected turns. But have you ever considered that these twists and turns might be God’s way of working immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine?

Think about Addie, a shining example of this divine promise. Her journey through life hasn’t been a smooth path. It has been marked by obstacles and challenges, yet her spirit remains unbroken. Her journey reflects the truth of Ephesians 3:20.

As parents, we all desire the best for our children, and when a child faces adversity or disability, that longing becomes even more profound. Every day we hold our breath, fearing the unknown, celebrating every victory, and enduring every setback. And yet our dominant emotion when we think of our children is delight.

Addie’s infectious joy and radiant smile have taught us profound lessons about life and love. Her struggles have not dimmed her spirit; instead, they have made her shine even brighter. Through her, we witness the tangible goodness, vastness, and beauty of God’s plan.

Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God’s plan often surpasses our wildest dreams and imaginations. His wisdom is woven into the tapestry of our lives, just as it is in Addie’s. He transforms what the world might see as a disability into a radiant testament of His goodness and grace.

So how can we apply this verse to our daily lives? We must remember that we are part of God’s grander plan, and He works within us according to His boundless power, not our limited capabilities.

We must look beyond our self-imposed limitations and trust in His plan. The author of our lives isn’t finished with us yet. When we face adversity, shattered hopes, or unexpected detours, remember that our story is still being written, and with God as the author, it will undoubtedly be a masterpiece.

In Addie’s journey, we see a living testament to God’s promise – He does immeasurably more than we ask or imagine. So, let’s trust in His power that works within us, and in our lives, we will witness the extraordinary unfolding of His divine plan.

May this verse and Addie’s story inspire us to have faith in God’s plan, to believe that He is working immeasurably more in our lives, and to embrace the unexpected twists and turns with hope and joy.
