That power is the same divine power which was demonstrated in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and gave Him the place of supreme honor in Heaven—a place that is infinitely superior to any conceivable command, authority, power or control, and which carries with it a name far beyond any name that could ever be used in this world or the world to come. God has placed everything under the power of Christ and has set Him up as head of everything for the Church. For the Church is His body, and in that body lives fully the one who fills the whole wide universe.
Picture the place of supreme honor that Jesus has been given. The Apostle Paul describes the supremacy of His command, the absoluteness of His authority, His unequaled power and preeminence of His very name. EVERYTHING lives under the Lordship of Jesus. And He has called you His body.
What does it mean for us to live our lives under the Lordship of Jesus?
Surrendering to Jesus’ lordship means relinquishing control and yielding to His perfect plan. Committing to glorifying God in our daily lives means trusting that He orchestrates every detail for His glory. He commands. He is in control.
How can you renew your surrender to the Lordship of Jesus today?
In prayer, list all the areas of our life you are choosing to lay at His feet. Honor Him with the sacrifice of your surrender and invite His Lordship in your life to bring fulfillment and purpose.
Decide to live with a surrendered heart and seek His will in life’s every detail.
