Ephesians 1:11 (NIV)

In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will.

Consider the weight of the words, “In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined.” Your calling is not a random occurrence; it’s a divine choice. God has handpicked you for a specific purpose. You are not a puzzle piece lost in the chaos; you are intentionally placed in His grand design.

The verse continues by highlighting that our calling is “according to the plan of Him who works out everything.” It’s a reminder that God is in control of every twist and turn in your life. He orchestrates events, opens doors, and closes others, all in alignment with His purpose and will.

Your calling is not meant to be a source of confusion. It’s an invitation to trust in God’s purpose and grace. Your role is to follow Him, even through the twists and turns, knowing that you are fulfilling His purpose for your life.

Now consider how this truth impacts your perspective on your calling. How does knowing that you were chosen and predestined for a purpose affect the way you view life’s complexities?
